Endangered - The CAD Monkey

In engineering, there are people who deal with the clients, there are people who deal with the customer, and there are the "CAD Monkeys". I'm one of those Hominidaes. Whilst all the other people in the operation do all the ringing round, speaking to folks, and flouncing around, the CAD Monkeys remain tight and focussed, sat at their desks, day in day out, clicking away and producing ream after ream of drawings.

CAD is, of course, Computer Aided Design, and it's done more often than not using AutoCAD.

To lighten the mood, us CAD Monkeys have been finding a real monkey to bond with. One each. A meeting of minds, perhaps, or getting in touch with nature.

The monkey you can see is the one I chose. Only an A5 printout, fixed with Blu Tac to the wall behind my monitor.

Soon, in the office, everyone had their monkey.

Two days of monkey companionship.

Two days of high morale.

Then the boss came over. He tugged at one of the images on a colleages desk.

"What's these monkey pictures about? Can you take them all down right away?"

And that was that. The monkey was no more. First the rainforests, now this. Bellamy would've kicked off, big style.
